Nubra valley

Nubra is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of orchard/flowers. It is situated in the North of Ladakh, between Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of Himalayas & lies at average altitude about 10,000 feet above sea level.

Sham/Aryan valley

Changthang valley

This valley is possibly the most attractive areas in the District as far as scenic beauty, brackish lakes and wild life. The vast pastures with their gently flowing streams and the lakes amidst the spectacularly colored mountains are quite unlike anything a tourist see anywhere in India. The main attractions of Changthang are:

  • Pangong Lake : Located 150km east of Leh at an altitude of 14,100 ft. at a distance of 150 km from Leh across This lake is one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the country.
  • Changla pass : (altitude 17,590ft.).
  • ⦁ Tsomoriri Lake: Locate 240km east of Leh: At an altitude of 15,000 ft. above the sea level, at a distance of 240 km.  
  • Chumathang hot spring : located at a distance of 140km east of Leh.
  • Mahe monestry : located near to Chumathang village.

Zanskar valley

Zanskar Valley is located on the southern part of Ladakh it is separated from other parts of Ladakh by the Zanskar mountain range and it has beautiful lush green pastaures and many age old monestries; Places of attractions in zanskar valley are:
